Residents of nine municipalities in Bulgaria are already benefiting. Plovdiv, Burgas, Lovech, Dobrich, Gotse Delchev, Belogradchik, Ruse, Pleven and Varna already have the opportunity to alert about their problems on the Internet. Anyone who wants to complain about something in their respective locations can do so on the site www.aktiven.bg. There he will encounter a map that he can click on with an exact address, and then he has to indicate what his complaint is.
If he has a photo, he can also add it. The contempt may be caused by a broken bench, a dangerous building, hanging cables, a missing shaft lid, a street hole, street lighting, and all that has impressed a waking civil conscience. In the relevant municipality, the complaint will be forwarded to an employee who is required to respond. Alerts and responses are visible to anyone who has registered on the site. The system allows for priority processing of certain signals depending on the type of irregularity. Signals can not only monitor their status on the web site, they can also receive emails about the activities that are being done to remove the reported malfunction.
The realization of the project is realized free of charge by ESRI Bulgaria as part of a global initiative of ESRI Inc. Partners are the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Council for Sustainable Development.
